Course overview
This course aims to provide an understanding of the patterns of abundance and diversity of marine plants and animals and the processes that structure these patterns, emphasising the challenges in understanding the complexity of marine systems and the solutions to quantifying them.
Course learning outcomes
- Interpret knowledge of processes that shape the abundance of marine organisms
- Understand the effect of humans as drivers of marine ecosystem change
- Recognise the value of multi-disciplinary research
- Create scientific knowledge and communication this knowledge, including either oral communication or/and technical writing

If you are an international student, or a domestic student studying in a full fee paying place, and are continuing study that you commenced in 2025 or earlier, your fees will be available here before enrolments open for 2026.
