This course aims to provide students with advanced understanding of the immune system in health and disease.
Course learning outcomes
- Articulate specific cellular and molecular processes involved in the function of the immune system in health and disease
- Integrate concepts in immunology and microbial pathogenesis to demonstrate understanding of complex human disease
- Explain fundamental concepts of how viruses interact with the host cell, replicate and evade immune responses
- Demonstrate understanding of vaccine design and application as it applies to microbial pathogens
- Work in small teams and effectively communicate concepts related to recent advances in immunology and viral pathogenesis

If you are an international student, or a domestic student studying in a full fee paying place, and are continuing study that you commenced in 2025 or earlier, your fees will be available here before enrolments open for 2026.
