Course overview
In this course students will consider both theoretical and practical issues that are jointly associated with international financial management and how they can be applied to real finance problems from this area.
Course learning outcomes
- Discuss the nature, role and operation of the major international financial institutions and financial markets.
- Interpret and use spot and forward exchange rates, interest rates and international financial instruments.
- Explain the parity relationships linking spot and forward exchange rates, interest rates and price levels.
- Identify the sources and management of foreign exchange risks.
- Explain the use of foreign borrowings as an alternative to domestic loans.
