Course overview
This course introduces business regulations and professional ethics in finance. At a firm level, the course covers corporate social responsibility and business regulations. At an individual level, the course covers the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct. These topics are crucial for managing modern corporations and reinforce the role of finance professionals in a dynamic business environment and their significance to society in general.
Course learning outcomes
- Explain the rationale for corporate social responsibility and business regulation.
- Determine components of the Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct (code and standards).
- Identify behaviour that follows to the Code and Standards and behaviour that violates the Code and Standards.
- Recommend practices and procedures to prevent violations of the Code and Standards.
