Course overview

The aim of this course is to equip students with the knowledge and skills to apply artificial intelligence (AI) strategically across various business domains to foster innovation, growth, and competitiveness. Students will explore AI applications in different industries, learning to design AI-driven solutions that enhance business operations and develop strategies for implementation and deployment of the solutions. These core skills will equip students for their professional career where AI solutions are likely to proliferate businesses in virtually any sector.

  • Articulate the historical development of artificial intelligence and its significance and transformative impact across various business sectors
  • Describe core AI Technologies including machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, including their applications in different industries
  • Apply design principles for AI systems to solve business problems
  • Evaluate the impact of AI on business performance using established metrics and methods, including key challenges such as scalability, security, and data privacy in AI deployment
  • Apply ethical and cultural considerations in the deployment of AI technologies in business settings
