Course overview

This course equips students with an advanced understanding of research through design [RTD] in landscape architecture, fostering the ability to utilise design as a research tool in preparation for their capstone project and further research focused pathways.

Course learning outcomes

  • Compile a critical literature review synthesizing relevant sources.
  • Create a comprehensive research proposal that demonstrates understanding of research through design principles.
  • Create design artifacts using research through design techniques.
  • Communicate and critique research findings effectively through written and visual mediums.
