Course overview
The Nature by Design Studio involves students developing a creative nature positive proposal for a degraded urban or regional site. Embracing an expansive view of ecology encompassing environmental, social, and existential dimensions—this course examines the current state of ecological thought and its implications for future design practices. Students will investigate how cutting-edge ecological research, social theory, and digital visualization can enhance design thinking and practice with increased sensitivity and resilience. The studio fosters an environment where speculative design and ecological theory inform transformative, sustainable landscapes.
- Ecological Succession Principles For Site Investigations
