Course overview
The course aims to prepare students for creative professional practice through the introduction of skills and techniques to create innovative and culturally adventurous landscape architecture designs, integrating diverse societal and environmental considerations. Today’s world is best with many intractable challenges that defy easy or logical resolution. Creativity and non linear ways of working can create lateral and alternative possibilities that are not obvious or self evident. This studio therefore seeks to develop exploratory and creative design approaches to develop alternative possibilities whilst advancing technical proficiency and confidence in making and shaping landscapes. The course introduces an understanding of alternative knowledge systems, preparing students for landscape architecture practice in a changing world.
