Course overview

This course aims to enrich skills and knowledge framed by professional opportunities through small business management and self-employment practices related to the art and design industries. This course leads to the articulation of your creative aspirations to deliver a professional and viable creative practice; regardless of whether you intend establish your own creative enterprise or gain employment within the creative industries. Business Practices will focus on the business aspects of your practice and your professional development to support your goals. The course is structured to assist you in planning a sustainable enterprise no matter the creative intention or creative medium.

Course learning outcomes

  • Assess and formulate professional aspirations developing a personal SWOT analysis and identify industry and market strengths and vulnerabilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive timeline plan, incorporating resource documentation, marketing strategies, and financial planning
