Course overview

This course will develop knowledge and skills in research by design through investigation of a complex interior architecture project in the context of multiple stakeholder and built environment typologies. Students will research a medium to large project using research for design and research by design. Research will test design options relating to history, urban form, culture and society, economic, and sustainability, to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders associated with the project and develop a design proposal (or similar) from the perspective of interior design practice.
