Course overview

The aim of this course is to deepen students' understanding of key technical factors influencing indoor environments, including acoustics, artificial lighting, and indoor air quality (IAQ), while emphasising sustainable design practices. This course provides a comprehensive exploration of design principles and their real-world applications through studio-based learning, practical exercises, and case studies. Students will learn to analyse, design, and implement solutions for effective acoustics, lighting plans, and IAQ strategies, while also developing sustainable interior designs with a holistic approach. This course aligns with program aims to nurture creative, analytical, and technical skills essential for comprehensive interior architectural design and sustainable development.
