Course overview

This course will equip students with an elementary understanding of the relationship between architecture and its physical, social, cultural and political contexts. Students will be exposed to a diverse set of approaches for understanding a site, including an Aboriginal perspective on Country. Students will demonstrate an ability to translate information about a site into a design response, and to apply their knowledge of site, solar passive design and material selection into recommendations for the design for a small-scale building.
