Course overview
This course will provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge of strategic management in an aviation context, thereby training students to conduct environmental analysis, propose competitive advantages and develop strategic plans for an aviation organisation. Contents include Strategic management fundamentals; Analysis of current aviation organisation strategies; Strategic positioning; Competitive strategy; Environmental analysis in the global aviation industry; Porter’s Five Forces for airlines; Establishing aviation strategies; Setting corporate directions; Aviation strategy implementation; Managing strategy execution.
