Course overview

This course will describe key financial management concepts and how they are applied to the management of airlines. Contents include: Introduction to: Basic Accounting Terminology, Principles and Practices; Finance; Sources of Finance; Equity Finance; Airline Privatisation; Airline Capital Structure and Budgeting; Airline Financial Performance Measurement; Airline Operational Performance Measurement; Interest Rate and Fuel Hedging; Introduction to Aircraft Leasing; Airline Financial Risk Analysis; Airline Bankruptcy.
