Independent support services

If you need support beyond what Adelaide University can provide, there are many trusted external services available. This page provides access to free, confidential support options for students seeking help with sexual assault, domestic and family violence, mental health crises, sexual and reproductive health, online safety, and complaints about higher education providers.

These support services operate independently and are open to people of all backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences. Many offer 24-hour phone or online support, specialist counselling, crisis response, and culturally safe care. Support is available for LGBTI students, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, and anyone feeling overwhelmed or unsafe. You don’t need a referral to access most of these services. Whether you are seeking immediate help, professional advice, or someone to talk to, these organisations can support your wellbeing and safety.
