Here you can find support, reporting options and information on where to get help if you’ve experienced or witnessed gender-based violence, sexual harm, or other inappropriate behaviour. You’ll find links to safety, wellbeing, and inclusion services available to all Adelaide University students. It also provides access to training and other resources that can be used to increase everyone's awareness and capacity to actively shape a culture of inclusion and respect. 

Adelaide University is committed to providing a safe and respectful environment. Behaviour that is intimidating, abusive, disrespectful or threatening, any instance of sexual harassment, sexual assault, or other forms of gender-based violence, will not be tolerated.

Reporting

Support 

Adelaide University will support you in dealing with any issues that pop up during your time studying with us. Dealing with incidents and knowing what to do can be difficult.

Emergency contacts

If you’re in an emergency situation, crisis or feel you can’t keep yourself safe:

  • Call Triple Zero (000) for ambulance, fire or police emergencies

  • Go to your nearest hospital emergency department

  • Call Lifeline (24-hour counselling) on 13 11 14

  • If you are outside Australia, contact your local emergency or crisis services, or a local hospital.

Safety on campus

Your safety is paramount to us at Adelaide University. Campus security is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Security officers patrol our campuses during the day and provide increased protection at night. They are available to help with first aid or assist in any emergency. Training and education

Adelaide university is proud to enhance student health and wellbeing through free health promotion activities, tailored support, resources, training and education. This includes training both online and in-person on first responder and bystander intervention, diversity and inclusion and other programs focussing on health and wellbeing.
