Academic Integrity Skills

The University takes an educative approach to academic integrity, supporting students to understand academic expectations, develop the skills needed to meet academic standards, and recognise different types of academic misconduct. Student Academic Integrity Skills supports this approach through awareness-raising activities and events, peer-to-peer support, the development of educational resources, and collaboration with University staff and students.

Peer-to-peer support for developing your skills is delivered through the Academic Integrity Ambassador Program, a student leadership program aimed at promoting a culture of academic integrity at the University.

Academic Integrity Ambassadors act as role models and student voices, leading and supporting workshops, events, panels and initiatives, social media and marketing activities, visiting students in programs, and contributing to the development of educational resources.

Look out for Academic Integrity Ambassadors visiting your courses and running pop-up events on campus and online.

2026 schedule of workshops and events coming soon!

“Academic integrity means a commitment to act with honesty, trustworthiness, fairness, respect and responsibility in all academic work” (Adelaide University Academic Integrity Policy, p.1). These values guide the behaviour of everyone in the academic world, including students, teachers and scholars.

The Academic Integrity Essentials course is designed to help you understand the Academic Integrity Policy and build the skills and confidence you'll need to succeed in your assignments.

All commencing students are required to complete the Academic Integrity Essentials Course to build their understanding of academic integrity expectations.

It is an important part of your responsibility as a student to familiarise yourself with the Adelaide University Academic Integrity Policy.

You can also meet with a Learning Adviser to discuss any questions or issues you have about how to maintain your academic integrity throughout your studies.
