Have you considered a rural placement?
Rural and remote placements are available in most states. These placements give you the chance to experience cultural diversity while contributing to the health and wellbeing of communities with varied needs.
If you're studying nursing or midwifery, you'll be allocated at least one rural placement during your degree.
Career planning
A rural, country or remote placement is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across diverse health settings. You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team and become a valued member of the local health workforce, making a meaningful difference in how essential services are delivered in the community.
These placements also offer a powerful academic and personal journey. You’ll build confidence, develop new skills, and grow your understanding of regional health—helping shape your future career and the communities you serve.
