Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS)

Graduating from Adelaide University

What is an AHEGS?

The Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS) is a nationally standardised document that complements your parchment and academic transcript. It provides a clear and comprehensive description of your qualification, the institution that awarded it, and the Australian higher education system.

What’s included in the AHEGS?

Your AHEGS includes:

  • Your full name and student ID
  • The name and description of your qualification
  • A summary of your academic achievements
  • Details of any prizes, awards or honours received
  • A description of Adelaide University and the Australian higher education system

Why is it useful?

The AHEGS is designed to help employers, professional bodies, and other institutions—both in Australia and internationally—understand the nature, level and context of your qualification. It can support applications for further study or employment by providing a consistent and credible summary of your achievements.

Who receives an AHEGS?

All students who graduate from Adelaide University with an eligible higher education award will automatically receive an AHEGS. This includes undergraduate, postgraduate coursework and higher degree by research graduates.

How do I access my AHEGS?

Your AHEGS will be issued digitally through My eQuals, the secure online platform used by Australian and New Zealand universities. You’ll receive an email notification once your documents are available.
