Empowering your learning journey with AU Online

AU Online makes it easy to manage your assessments. Whether you're submitting an assignment, preparing for an online exam, or seeking feedback, we aim to make the process as easy as possible. Our digital-first approach ensures you have the tools, guidance and support to succeed, wherever you’re studying from.

As part of the AU Online experience, we provide clear instructions for submitting work, access to academic support services, and help when things don’t go to plan. With a focus on flexibility, equity and student success, AU Online is designed to support you through every stage of your learning journey.

Submitting assessments online

All assessments are submitted through the Student Portal. Each course site includes detailed instructions, due dates, file format requirements and submission checklists. Once submitted, you’ll receive a confirmation receipt. Make sure to allow time for uploads and double-check your submission before the deadline.

For further information regarding submitting assessments, refer to the Assessments and Exams section.

Academic support when you need it

Need help with writing, referencing or understanding your assignment brief? AU Online connects you to the Writing Centre, Maths Learning Centre for real-time feedback. You can also join Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) for help with specific courses. These services are free and available online.

What if something goes wrong?

If you experience technical issues, illness or unexpected circumstances, you may be eligible for an extension or special consideration. Reach out to your course coordinator, or the AU Online support team, as soon as possible. We’re here to help you navigate challenges with care and fairness.

Feedback and results

You’ll receive feedback through AU Online, usually within two to three weeks of submission. Feedback is designed to help you improve and grow. If you’re unsure about your results or need clarification, contact your tutor or course coordinator directly.
