Scientific strategy

SAiGENCI’s vision is to make a fundamentally positive impact on the conduct of cancer research so that fewer patients develop cancer, and the lives of those with cancer are improved. We aim to become a hub for scientific discoveries and development of transformative technologies that will translate into improved clinical outcomes.

Unravelling the epigenetic mechanisms that contribute to cancer, with the aim of developing effective therapeutics.

Computational systems oncology

Developing sophisticated computational tools and predictive models to better detect and treat cancer.

Resistance prevention

Understanding the mechanisms for response and resistance to contemporary cancer therapies through clinical trials and individual responses.

Tumour inflammation and immunotherapy

Integrating basic and translational research to inform immune-based strategies, targeting innate and adaptive immunity in cancer.
