Adelaide Microscopy

Adelaide Microscopy is a centrally located facility offering a broad range of the most technologically advanced instrumentation for microscopy and microanalysis to universities, research institutions and industry.

Adelaide RNA

Adelaide RNA focuses on transforming RNA research into breakthrough solutions for infectious diseases, cancer immunotherapy, gene therapy and beyond.

Biobank

The Biobank is a biorepository to centrally and securely house valuable research material currently stored in ultracold (-80°C) freezers throughout the schools.

Biological Services

Biological Services supports the biomedical research community through the delivery of best practice and world standard laboratory animal products and services.

OptoFab Adelaide

OptoFab offers fabrication services for custom optical glass with unique properties, extrusion capabilities for specialised preforms for optical fibres, and fibre drawing capabilities for glass, silica, and polymers, including microstructured fibres.

Plant SynBio Australia (PSBA)

Plant SynBio Australia at Adelaide University delivers plant synthetic biology services, infrastructure, and expertise for research provider, government and industry institutions.

Uncrewed Research Aircraft Facility (URAF)

The Uncrewed Research Aircraft Facility (URAF), also known as the ‘drone hub’ is one of Australia’s leading University-based drone operators, research and training facilities.

National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) Facilities

The Australian Government’s National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) supports strong national collaborations and high-quality research that responds to scientific and societal challenges we face today. Each South Australian-based NCRIS project builds on our scientific expertise across key sectors, including agriculture, food and wine, health and medical, defence and space, advanced manufacturing, and environment and energy.

NCRIS research facilities provide critical research infrastructure for researchers and businesses to develop new products, services and solutions to major health, environmental and economic challenges. Since 2019, South Australia’s NCRIS facilities have supported approximately 6,223 collaborations with researchers and 670 collaborations with industry partners.
