Graduate Research Handbook

Graduate Research School

The official reference guide for graduate researchers and their supervisors at Adelaide University

The Graduate Research Handbook outlines the rules, responsibilities, and procedures that govern the entire research degree lifecycle – from commencement and progress reviews to thesis submission, examination, and graduation. As part of the University’s graduate research policy framework, the handbook provides essential information to help you understand and meet the requirements of your candidature.

Supervisors, Graduate Research Leaders and Deans of School can also use the Graduate Research Handbook as a useful resource.

Transitioning Graduate Researchers

The majority of information within the Graduate Research Handbook is applicable to most graduate researchers. However, some policies and procedures differ for graduate research students who originally commenced at either the University of Adelaide or the University of South Australia.

Information regarding these differences is outlined on the Transitioning Graduate Researchers page on MyAdelaide. Similarly, some policies and procedures differ for domestic and international students, doctoral and Master’s students, as well as scholarship and non-scholarship holders. These differences are noted where applicable.
