Nine Research Initiatives underpin the breadth of our research capabilities and are dedicated to driving global change in environmental and social sustainability.

The Institute’s research programs and projects lead positive change in the domains of environment, society, economy, culture, national security, public policy and public health.

Research groups affiliated with the Institute design and deliver environmental and social sustainability across terrestrial, coastal, and marine ecosystems within natural, production and urban landscapes.
