International global business icon

Asian and international business context

We explore Asian and international business environments to help Australian enterprises navigate local practices, cultural nuances and global market dynamics. Our research examines geopolitical tensions, trade and investment flows, competitiveness, aging populations, digital transformation and innovative leadership through international comparative studies.

Cultural and creative enterprise

Our researchers study how arts and creative enterprises generate social, economic, environmental and cultural value. We support cross-national projects, particularly in Asia and the Pacific, offering expertise in governance, leadership, inclusivity, technology, arts and value creation for individuals, organisations and society.

Tourism and leisure

Our research supports sustainable tourism, examining visitor experiences, digitalisation, enterprise performance, entrepreneurship, events, Aboriginal tourism and food waste management. We focus on promoting resilient, thriving destinations and communities across Australia, especially in regional and remote areas.

At the Centre for Enterprise Dynamics in Global Economies (C-EDGE), we help organisations navigate the challenges of fast-moving and unpredictable markets. Our research and expertise equip businesses, industries and governments with practical tools, evidence and insights to thrive in an environment shaped by rapid technological change, shifting social expectations and global disruptions. While our work supports Australia’s competitiveness and transformation, our outlook and networks are global.

C-EDGE has built a reputation for connecting Australia with emerging Asian economies, enabling enterprises to access new opportunities, develop culturally attuned strategies and strengthen international partnerships. This outward-looking approach allows us to understand and respond to the complexities of global trade, investment flows and supply chains, as well as issues such as ageing populations, digital disruption and sustainable growth.

We collaborate with organisations across a wide range of sectors – finance, defence, tourism and leisure, professional and commercial services, and all levels of government – to co-create research that addresses real-world challenges. Through these partnerships we provide tailored, evidence-based analysis, techniques and tools to inform strategies for innovation, resilience and long-term success. By combining academic rigour with industry relevance, C-EDGE creates knowledge that drives policy, shapes practice and delivers tangible benefits for communities in Australia and beyond.
