Leading microscopy and microanalysis facility
Adelaide Microscopy is a core facility offering a broad range of technologically advanced instrumentation for microscopy and microanalysis to universities, research institutions and industry.
Our staff, among the best in their field, possess extensive expertise in microscopy and microanalysis, encompassing biological, mineral and materials sciences. They understand the need for accurate analysis, providing expert advice on suitable techniques and applications to solve the most demanding or complex research problems.
In 2007, the foundational universities, University of Adelaide and University of South Australia formed 2/3 of the South Australian node of Microscopy Australia (MA). Microscopy Australia was formed in response to the first National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) initiative, with the intent of providing the world’s best microscopy facilities to Australian researchers.
Microscopy Australia is a national network of world-class microscopy and micro-analytical instrumentation dedicated to nano-structural characterisation of a diverse range of research applications in medicine, agriculture, advanced manufacturing, geology, mineral processing, environmental remediation and materials science. These fields rely on cutting-edge microscopy and material analysis, both bulk and surface, to drive innovation and make new discoveries. Further information, including links to TechFi and MyScope, is available on the Microscopy Australia website.
