About me
Professor Tina Brodie (BSW (Hons) GradCertCouns, PhD) is an Aboriginal woman with connections to Yawarrawarrka and Yandruwandha (South Australia). Tina is the Pro Vice Chancellor of Indigenous Education at Adelaide University. Tina has over 20 years of experience in Aboriginal health and wellbeing in research, education, clinical, project and leadership roles and in her current role provides strategic leadership for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander education initiatives.
Tina has a research affiliation with the College of Education, Behavioral and Social Sciences at Adelaide University and Wardliparingga Aboriginal Health Equity at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI). Tina has expertise in the fields of Social Work, Counselling and Psychotherapy, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community engagement and Indigenous methodologies. Tinas research explores Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander social and emotional wellbeing, mental health and the social determinants of health.
