About me

Taylor Jobling is a Lecturer in law at the Adelaide University School of Law.

Taylor's Master’s thesis focused on animal welfare legislation in South Australia and its ability to fully protect animal rights. Through this research, Taylor has been actively involved in legislative reform to animal rights and welfare in South Australia. In 2025 she was awarded the RSPCA Sybil Emslie Animal Law Scholarship for her contributions to animal welfare research and practice in Australia.

Her other research interests lie in the intersection of Human Rights, Family Law and International Law, particularly in the conceptualisation of rights and protections afforded to vulnerable groups. Through her time as a research assistant, Taylor has been involved in several research projects, many resulting in publications to high impact journals, including the Journal of International Dispute Settlement and the American Journal of International Law.
