About me

Associate Professor Rhodora Abadia is the Dean, Academic for the College of Engineering and Information Technology at Adelaide University. She provides strategic leadership for teaching and learning across these disciplines. She advances the University's teaching agenda at the College level, overseeing curriculum quality, program development, and academic excellence while ensuring alignment with industry and accreditation requirements. Drawing on her extensive experience as Associate Dean for UniSA Online, Rhoda brings  expertise in digital education transformation. She pioneered innovative online STEM solutions including digital-ink technology for mathematics, immersive VR simulations for construction management, and virtual laboratories for IT and Data Analytics. Her leadership established UniSA's first modular microcredential programs and the university-wide 24-hour online examination system. She has educational leadership across five universities, and  maintains strategic partnerships with industry, professional bodies, and government organisations. Her research in technology-enhanced learning, persuasive technologies, and learning analytics informs innovative teaching practices. She leads the Adelaide University's Learning Insights Project and contributed to strategic initiatives in the Adelaide Attainment Model, modular education, and assessment frameworks. She champions equity, diversity, and inclusion in education while mentoring academic staff and creating accessible, contemporary learning experiences that position Adelaide University as a global leader in Engineering and IT education.
