About me
I hold a teaching-focused role in enabling programs within Pathways (previously UniSA College), supported by a background in both science and senior secondary education. Since 2010, I have taught in a range of casual and fixed-term teaching roles, and I am currently completing a Master of Education.
My time in Pathways has strengthened my belief that while preparing students for undergraduate study is essential, we also have a powerful opportunity to challenge the perception that some learners are simply not ‘cut out’ for university. By fostering inclusive learning environments and building student confidence, we can support greater participation and long-term success.
In addition to my tertiary teaching experience, I have worked in schools in tutoring and curriculum support roles, and completed teaching placements in secondary settings, particularly in northern suburbs schools in Adelaide.I am also currently delivering workshops for the University Makes a Difference program, funded through the Commonwealth Government’s Higher Education Continuity Guarantee. This outreach initiative forms partnerships with non-mainstream schools to help students explore learning opportunities beyond school and, in some cases, work toward an alternative pathway to SACE completion.
