About me

I am the lecturer and coordinator for two courses at Adelaide University (AU) in South Australia. The first course is ‘Tertiary Learning Strategies’, an online introductory course recommended for first-year undergraduate students. This course is offered by Adelaide University (AU) through Open University Australia (OUA). The second course is ‘ICT Literacies’, an introductory course on information and communication technology. This course is part of the foundation studies and Diploma programs at AU Pathways College. Additionally, I develop and coordinate courses for the Diploma and the UniStart pathway programs at AU online. Before starting my career in higher education in 2012, I worked in various fields. My work history includes 18 years of experience in small business management and tax accounting consultancy. During the past few years, I have developed a sound understanding of the needs of students undertaking enabling courses as they transition to university studies. I experienced teaching a wide range of students from different backgrounds, educational levels, ages, cultures, and socio-economic statuses. I am passionate about motivating students by creating a supportive environment that encourages them to embark on and pursue their tertiary education journey. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Economics Sciences, a Master of Management, and a Graduate Diploma in Education Studies - Digital Learning. My current research interests focus on online teaching and learning, particularly within enabling programs, pathways to tertiary education, and the experiences of first-year undergraduate students.
