Profile of Kirsty LePoidevin

About me

Kirsty LePoidevin graduated with a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) in 2012 and later completed a Graduate Certificate in Pharmacy Practice. She has extensive experience in hospital pharmacy, with a strong clinical background in cancer services, quality use of medicines, and pharmacy education. 

Kirsty has held senior pharmacist roles within cancer services, where she has contributed to cancer therapy verification, medicines governance, workforce training frameworks, and multidisciplinary education. Her work has focused on promoting safe, high-quality, and consistent cancer care, as well as supporting the development of registered pharmacists, pharmacy interns, and pharmacy assistants. 

With a strong interest in integrating clinical practice and education, Kirsty joined the University in 2021 as a Pharmacy Practitioner in Residence. Her research interests centre on pharmacy education and experiential learning.

Kirsty’s contributions to student learning have been recognised through a 2024 national Australian Award for University Teaching (AAUT) Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning, as well as a 2023 UniSA Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning.

Kirsty is actively involved in teaching, course development, and experiential learning, and is the joint course coordinator of the third-year Pharmacotherapeutics Practice courses (PHAR 3013 and PHAR 3014).
