About me

I am currently the AU SmartSat Co-operative Research Centre Professorial Chair in Cybersecurity. My work in this role since 2020 focuses on the context of supporting development of a holistic national technical agenda in satellite cybersecurity and resilience with Government, Defence and Defence Industry.   I work with twenty of Australia’s universities in space cyber security context and with Defence and DSTG and Defence Industry.

I have twenty-five years of university cross -disciplinary cyber security curriculum and research development, after establishing myself as a cyber security academic, drawing on engineering, ICT and systems security.

In a technical context, I was ranked as being in the top 2% of scientists in the world in Artificial Intelligence, ICT Networking and Telecommunications sub field (each year since 2019) since I was an early adopter of AI and Machine Learning in Cyber Security and Real Time Forensics.
