About me

Welcome to my homepage!
I am an academic within the Medical Radiation Sciences (MRS) team. My primary role involves teaching first-year students in the introductory MRS course, and I also tutor in the Aboriginal Health: Culture, Community, and Country course with public health colleagues. Witnessing students rise to the challenges presented in the healthcare sector brings me immense joy, as we collectively strive to make a positive impact on patient care.

My educational background includes a Diploma in Applied Science (Radiation Therapy) and a Bachelor of Health Science (First Class Honours) from UniSA. Over the years, I’ve supervised several Radiation Therapy divisional honours and Medical Radiation Sciences undergraduate honours projects. In the clinical realm, I’ve worked extensively in Radiation Therapy, both in public and private practices across South Australia. My 20 years of clinical experience have spanned various leadership positions, including mentoring, student and staff education, IT administration, and management roles. Passionate about supporting my students’ learning journey, I encourage them to acquire skills and knowledge through student-driven exploration. Lifelong learning is a cornerstone of my teaching philosophy. Additionally, I’m keenly interested in interprofessional learning, which I actively incorporate into my teaching approach. Lastly, I find great fulfilment in developing research projects that create multidisciplinary opportunities for students to explore and experience.
