I originally completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering before working at the Centre for Automotive Research at the University of Adelaide. While there I completed my PhD and was given the opportunity to teach part of a course in the Automotive Engineering degree. This spurred my passion for education, which eventually lead to me becoming a secondary school Mathematics and Science teacher, and ultimately back to the University in a Learning Design role. I have also worked for a short time at Saab Australia in a learning and development role.
