Meredith has worked in newsrooms in Adelaide, Melbourne and London since 1991 after earning her Bachelor of Arts (Journalism) from the University of South Australia. Most of her career has been spent with News Corporation, working as a surburban news reporter at The Messenger and Leader (Melbourne) a business reporter, features editor and opinion editor at The Advertiser and a news reporter at The Australian (Adelaide Bureau). She also has some experience as a public relations consultant and a freelance business, finance and court reporter. A tutor at UniSA since 2016, Meredith has taught across online and campus in news writing, internship and project, media law and ethics, writing for digital media, and foundations and principles of journalism. She has been a Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA) office holder a state and national levels.
