Create your own planetarium experience
Would you like to celebrate a special moment in a unique and special location, or wish someone a happy birthday with a unique gift? A private Planetarium session provides a unique experience for couples or small groups that can be tailored to the celebration, including the option of special projections on the dome-shaped ceiling. You can also include one of our fantastic full-dome movies to customise your experience.
Sessions run for approximately 60 minutes. Extended sessions can be arranged upon request, extra charges apply.
Bookings are essential to visit the Planetarium. Please contact us via email - planetarium@adelaide.edu.au for availability and booking form.

Important notes:
- Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the session commencing.
- Parking is free after 6pm weekdays and on weekends.
- No food or drink is permitted in the Planetarium.
- Use of mobile phones, electronic devices and photography are prohibited inside the Planetarium.
- Prams are not permitted inside the Planetarium.
- Please note: The Planetarium is not suitable for children under 4 years of age. If you do bring younger children, we kindly ask that you seat yourself closer to the door. As a courtesy to other patrons, if your child becomes restless or noisy during the session, we ask that you please exit the Planetarium. We have a foyer area for carers attending with younger siblings.
