Directions

Small Animal Hospital

Upon entering the campus from Mudla Wirra Road, follow our signage and turn right before the college hall. Continue driving, and the Small Animal Hospital is on the left.

Large Animal Hospital

Continue to drive past the Small Animal Hospital, and you will find our Large Animal Hospital. There is signage to indicate our location. Our vehicle and float/trailer entry gate is on the left. The gate on the right is exit only. Please pull your vehicle and float/trailer up in the left-hand lane and press the intercom button or present to reception at the time of arrival. If you require further assistance or direction, please phone us on 08 8313 1999. We have float/trailer parking on-site if your animal stays with us.

Consent forms & fact sheets

Please view the RVH Consent Form prior to your visit. For our Large Animal Patients, there is a Biosecurity Form included and we will ask for a Property Identification Code. An RVH Team Member will guide you upon admission and be available to answer any queries and discuss the contents of this form with you. Don't worry - you will not need to print or bring a signed form with you; we will have one ready for you that is tailored to your pet and their procedure.

*Note: form subject to change, and an up-to-date relevant form will be provided to you upon admission. Your pets name and information will be included in the form provided on the day.

Were you instructed to fast your pet from food or water before a procedure or anaesthetic? Below is a general guideline.

General guidelines for fasting prior to general anaesthesia and selected procedures

AnimalFasting Time
Dogs & Cats - 6 months of age or olderNo food/treats for 10 hours prior to hospital admission. Please keep fresh, clean water available at all times.
Puppies & Kittens - 6 months of age or youngerSpecific instructions will be given during the consultation - if required, please phone us on 08 8313 1999. 
Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Birds & Rodents Do not fast.  Bring fresh food (including hay if applicable) into the clinic for them to continue eating. Ensure fresh, clean water is always available.
FerretsFast for 4-6 hours prior to surgery. Bring a small amount of their favourite food into the clinic so we can encourage them to eat post-surgery.
HorsesHorses require fasting prior to gastroscopic examinations and general anaesthetics. Horses do not require fasting for standing sedation (example: standard dentistry, radiographs, standing examinations). For gastroscopic procedures and general anaesthetics, please fast your horse from all feed for 12 hours. Ensure fresh, clean water is always available.
