Based at Adelaide University’s City East, City West and Magill campuses, as well as our Elizabeth Health Clinic, podiatry services are provided by undergraduate podiatry students under the supervision of registered practicing podiatrists.
Clinical services include foot and lower limb assessment and treatment, biomechanics, sports injury, nail surgery and paediatric (children) services.
Appointments are essential. A medical practitioner referral isn’t required to access our services.
Services
General podiatry
Treatment of lesions of the skin and nails, including corns, callus, and nail disorders
Treatment of infections (e.g. plantar warts)
Footcare and footwear education
Prevention and management of diabetes-related foot conditions
Foot health assessments to identify blood supply and nerve function status, and general health related to the feet.
Musculoskeletal
Foot and lower limb assessment (including for specific sports or activities)
Assessment and diagnosis of conditions leading to pain
Biomechanical/functional gait assessment
Custom foot or ankle/foot orthoses and prefabricated insoles.
Strength, stretching and conditioning
Footwear recommendations
Use of Shockwave or other modalities.
Podiatry for children
Our services are beneficial for:
- Overall lower limb health
- Flat feet
- Foot or toe abnormalities (e.g., raised toes, curved feet)
- Walking or running issues/dysfunction
- Pigeon-toed’ or ‘bow-legs’
- Footwear fitting concerns
- Skin concerns/infections (e.g., warts)
- Nail concerns/infections (e.g, ingrown toe nails).
Podiatry surgery
Do you suffer from ingrown toenails? Our nail surgery clinics offer an extended range of treatment options, under the direction of experienced Podiatrists including:
- Ingrown toenail assessment and management
- Partial toenail removal
- Total toenail removal
- Surgical management of warts.
