What is an accredited exercise physiologist (AEP)?
AEPs are allied health professionals that specialise in the prescription and monitoring of exercise behaviour for the management and prevention of chronic diseases and disabilities. The accreditation and professional conduct of the AEP is overseen by Exercise and Sports Science Australia. AEPs base exercise prescription for disease management and prevention on the latest scientific evidence and tailor it to accommodate an individual's capacity and goals.
