Waite Campus

Waite Campus

Heritage venues in a garden estate

Nestled in the Adelaide foothills just seven kilometres from the city, the Waite Campus offers a unique blend of heritage buildings, vineyards, and exceptional garden landscapes.

Its combination of historic character and contemporary teaching spaces make it an inspiring setting for community events, workshops, meetings and small celebrations. From restored heritage buildings to flexible function areas, and expansive lawns framed by century-old trees, Waite provides a distinctive venue experience shaped by its agricultural and scientific legacy.

Function Rooms

McLeod House

Incorporating Beltana Cafe, McLeod House offers a flexible function space with a capacity of 84 that can be separated into three individual spaces for smaller events.

Located at the heart of the Waite campus, McLeod House pairs heritage charm with convenience and is an ideal choice for community groups and professional events seeking a peaceful, natural setting.

The Gatehouse

Originally built in 1883, the Gatehouse was meticulously relocated to its current location stone-by-stone in 2024 and is one of Waite’s most distinctive venue options.

With two meeting rooms (capacity 6 and 24) equipped with high-resolution presentation screen, VGA/HDMI input and audio jack, and flexible floor plan, The Gatehouse is ideal for workshops, planning days, and executive meetings.

The adjacent paved veranda and kitchenette can both be used when the room is hired.

Urrbrae House

One of South Australia’s most historically significant homes, and a centrepiece of the Waite estate, Urrbrae House provides a variety of stunning rooms available for small events such as exhibitions, book launches, intimate concerts, talks, and other low-impact gatherings.

Surrounded by exquisite gardens and approached through a picturesque estate setting, Urrbrae House is an atmospheric and dignified location for events that require a strong heritage ambience.
