Supporting sustainable travel
Adelaide University is committed to supporting sustainable travel by providing facilities that make walking, cycling, and public transport more accessible and comfortable. This page outlines the end-of-trip amenities available to help you transition smoothly from your commute to your day on campus.
End of trip facilities for sustainable commuters
End-of-trip facilities are designed to encourage active and low-impact travel. These amenities are available to all staff, students and visitors during standard operating hours and typically include:
- Showers and change rooms for freshening up after your journey
- All-gender and accessible options to ensure inclusivity
- Extended access in some locations, such as fitness centres (may require membership)
- Secure bike storage and lockers (where available)
These facilities are part of the University’s broader commitment to sustainability, wellbeing and inclusion.
Bicycle parking
Adelaide University provides a number of options for undercover and secure bike parking, with infrastructure across all of our campuses where bikes can be secured for cyclists.
Secure bike storage facilities are available for staff and students. These can be accessed using your Adelaide University ID card. For locations please see the campus map for your location.
Please note that secure bike sheds require access to be granted. You can request access via the Staff or Student portals.
