Manuscripts and personal papers

The Manuscripts Collection houses personal archives of South Australia and prominent South Australians, including University staff, graduates, benefactors, and other individuals and organisations associated with the Adelaide University and its predecessor institutions.

It also holds papers relating to the Library's general collection interests, notably the creative arts, the central Pacific, and First Nations Australian culture, education, social and political history, linguistics, and physical anthropology. There are also collections of authors' manuscripts, individual letters, and documents of interest for their provenance, content, or form.

The official records of the University, and the archives of associated bodies, are held by the University Archives.
