Adelaide University Students

The University Library is here to help you succeed with your studies. The Library has a wide range of resources, support and services for undergraduate and postgraduate students.


An Adelaide University student includes students from the following:

  • Adelaide University undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • Adelaide University Online students
  • Eynesbury College students (previously South Australian Institute of Business and Technology (SAIBT) and Centre for English Language at the University of South Australia (CELUSA))
  • Headstart program students
  • Kaplan International College Adelaide students (previously University of Adelaide College)
  • University Senior College students

The Adelaide University Library offers free membership and access to the Library’s extensive physical collections.


Community members have access to the following:

  • Borrow up to 20 items for 4 weeks with up to 4 renewals (automatic renewals, unless a hold has been placed)
  • eResource access is limited to public access computers in the Library only
  • Support with finding information and using the Library via Ask Library
  • MyLibrary account to see what you have on loan. You will need to create an account on the login page

Students and staff of other universities

Students and staff from participating Australian and New Zealand universities are eligible to borrow from the Adelaide University Library via the ULANZ borrowing scheme.


Students and staff from ULANZ registered universities have access to the following:

  • Borrow up to 2o items for 4 weeks with up to 4 renewals (automatic renewals, unless a hold has been placed)
  • eResource access is limited to public access computers in the Library only
  • Support with finding information and using the Library via Ask Library
  • MyLibrary account to see what you have on loan. You will need to create an account on the login page

As part of the registration process you will need to provide evidence of your current enrolment or employment of your home institution. This can be done by showing your ID card on your first visit to the Library.

High School students

The Adelaide University Library offers free membership and access to the Library’s extensive physical collections.


Students and staff from ULANZ registered universities have access to the following:

  • Borrow up to 2o items for 4 weeks with up to 4 renewals (automatic renewals, unless a hold has been placed)
  • eResource access is limited to public access computers in the Library only
  • Support with finding information and using the Library via Ask Library

The high school program is open to SACE students in Years 10 to 12 at any school in South Australia. Membership is for up to 12 months and can be renewed each year. Use your school ID card to borrow your items.

College staff

Kaplan International College and University Senior College staff have access to the Library’s extensive physical collection and selected online resources.


Members have access to the following:

  • Borrow unlimited items for 12 weeks with up to 5 renewal (automatic renewals, unless a hold has been placed)
  • eResource access is limited to public access computers in the Library only
  • Interlibrary loans
  • Support with finding information and using the Library via Ask Library
