Anchored in meaningful industry collaboration and a steadfast focus on people-first outcomes, the School of Nursing and Midwifery’s research is translational, enhancing practice and informing policy, health care delivery and workforce. We partner with industry and are outcome focused as we strive to meet the dynamic demands of our local national and international communities.

School of Nursing and Midwifery research focuses

We’re renowned for mental health research and innovation, improving the lives of people with mental health issues across the lifespan, in clinical contexts and within the community.

By facilitating midwife-led and/or nurse-led clinical research, we harness the knowledge, expertise and insights of our workforce to translate evidence into policies and practices with broad impact.

AKction 1 and 2 research projects each aim to improve the experiences and outcomes of kidney care for and with First Nations patients, families and community members, and kidney health services in South Australia.

Established in partnership with government and non-government sectors, the Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Research and Education Group is leading numerous initiatives aimed at improving the lives of people in mental distress and at risk of suicide.
