Chamber Music Program

Chamber Music Program

Offering an elite, high-impact experience for advanced instrumentalists and vocalists aged 12 to 18.

Designed to complement our Academy program, the Chamber Music Program caters to those who wish to excel in ensemble performance. This program emphasises excellence through individualised coaching and performance preparation. Ensembles are formed based on audition, ensuring that each group is primed for success. Under the guidance of Elder Conservatorium staff, students engage with challenging

chamber repertoire, preparing for both competitions and recitals. We accept individual students and pre-formed ensembles. Students not enrolled in OMA individual lessons are welcome to apply for the Chamber Music Program.

Overview

  • 30 group tuition sessions
1-hour group tuition sessions focus on technique, musical interpretation, and ensemble communication, tailored to each ensemble’s unique needs. Conservatorium staff prepare students for polished, performance-ready ensemble playing.
  • 30 supervised rehearsals|
Ensembles participate in supervised 1-hour rehearsals, allowing them to refine their pieces, synchronise as a group, and apply the techniques discussed in tuition.
  • Concert performances
Students perform as a group in at least two concerts annually, showcasing their progress and gaining valuable stage experience. These recitals offer each ensemble the opportunity to perform for an audience, building confidence and stage presence.
