Part of the global revolution
The School of Computer Science and Information Technology conducts research in collaboration with leading research institutes and centres, including:
Australian Institute for Machine Learning (AIML)
AIML conducts globally competitive research and development in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, computer vision, and deep learning. Based at Lot Fourteen, South Australia’s innovation district, we collaborate with industry, government, and business to develop high-tech products and solutions to everyday problems.
Australian Research Centre for Interactive and Virtual Environments (IVE)
IVE is one of the largest concentrations of AR and VR research in Australia. Our vast experience in advanced manufacturing, Internet of Things (IoT), interactive art, and design for healthcare and defence allows us to work in collaboration with our industry partners to transform industry and solve large-scale societal challenges.
As a world leader in Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR), IVE is a unique alignment of computer science, engineering, neuroscience, art, architecture, and design. Our researchers are leaders in many areas of AR and VR research including wearable computing, interface design, empathic computing, 3D visualisation, perception, and telepresence.
Industrial AI Research Centre
Industrial AI Research Centre brings together experts from across computer sciences to develop solutions for autonomous and augmented intelligence systems. We are a part of the global revolution in artificial intelligence, machine learning, Industry 4.0 and Internet-of-Things (IoT) technologies. Our researchers work with organisations around the world to develop solutions that cater to their specific needs. The Industrial AI Research Centre has the skills and knowledge to meet demand and lead the next technological revolution.
