Adelaide University is committed to student administration procedures and services that support staff in fulfilling their responsibilities, and that enable students to complete their programs in a manner that is efficient, accessible, equitable and transparent.
Our student administration policy and procedures support our compliance with the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021, and the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018.
Our seven principles for this Student Administration Policy are:
- Our student administration procedures and processes will be easy to access and understand.
- We provide our services and communicate with students in ways that are mindful of the cultural, linguistic and social diversity of our community, as well as the different locations and study modes they use.
- [We will uphold the rights of, and meet the needs of, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students as integral members of the University community, as outlined in our [First Nations Policy]].
- We will be agile and adaptive to change. This includes reviewing our procedures, and processes to ensure students have the best possible experience at Adelaide University.
- Our communication with prospective and current students about administrative processes that affect them will be timely and easy to understand. This helps students make informed decisions about their study options.
- Our student administration procedures will describe how students can request a review or submit an appeal or complaint, including where the process is specific to that procedure.
- We will ensure that student administration processes are transparent, with decisions made equitably.
