Office of the Provost and Deputy Vice Chancellor

The Office of the Provost and Deputy Vice Chancellor provides strategic leadership across Adelaide University’s academic enterprise. It ensures alignment of Colleges and Schools with university priorities, supports academic excellence, and oversees regional campus delivery. The Office partners with Colleges, Schools, central portfolios and regional campuses to foster connected and cohesive academic leadership aligned with the University’s strategic direction.

What we do

Portfolio strategy, governance, planning and executive support to the Provost and Deputy Vice Chancellor

  • Lead strategic planning and coordination across the Provost portfolio.
  • Support effective governance, assurance, and decision-making across Colleges and Schools.
  • Oversee portfolio-wide reporting, policy development and implementation, performance monitoring, and accountability mechanisms.
  • Coordinate and drive implementation of key strategic initiatives.
  • Provide executive support to the Provost and Deputy Vice Chancellor.

Regional campus delivery

  • Foster strong connections between regional campuses in Mount Gambier and Whyalla and metropolitan campuses.
  • Ensure fit-for-purpose academic delivery responsive to local context.
  • Embed regional focus within university-wide planning and delivery frameworks.
  • Provide a safe and supportive learning environment and equitable access for all students.
  • Support regional leaders to understand institutional priorities and alignment with local initiatives and opportunities.

Future Industries Institute (FII) 

The Provost portfolio oversees the operations of the Future Industries Institute (FII), a research institute focused on delivering cutting-edge innovation and technological solutions to real-world challenges.

College of Business and Law

The College of Business and Law fosters future leaders in business and law, equipping students with the knowledge and skills to navigate complex global challenges. Through industry partnerships and cutting-edge research, we drive innovation in legal and business education.

College of Creative Arts, Design and Humanities

The College of Creative Arts, Design and Humanities ensures graduates are career-ready by integrating arts, culture and creativity with digital and social innovation.

College of Engineering and Information Technology

The College of Engineering and Information Technology delivers research and education in engineering, computing, digital technologies and sustainable technological advancement. Strong partnerships with industry and government enable future infrastructure and innovation through socially responsible and impactful future-ready solutions.

College of Health

Dedicated to excellence in healthcare and research, the College of Health develops the next generation of health professionals and drives innovation in nursing, public health, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, midwifery and allied health.  

College of Science

The College of Science is focused on driving scientific innovation and contributing to advancements in areas such as biotechnology, environmental science and fundamental research, preparing graduates for successful careers in scientific fields through hands-on learning experiences and global collaborations.  

College of Education, Behavioural and Social Science

The College of Education, Behavioural and Social Science prepares graduates as future educators, psychologists, social workers and social scientists. Through real-world partnerships they ensure graduates are equipped with the skills and knowledge to lead positive change and community wellbeing.
