Through powerful partnerships with industry, government, and global collaborators, International and External Engagement helps deliver high impact education, research and engagement that drives innovation, social cohesion and economic development.

The International and External Engagement Portfolio drives Adelaide University’s reputation; strengthens community, global and industry relationships; and supports crucial student recruitment and philanthropy efforts. 

Through brand management, partnership cultivation, outreach programs, alumni relations, and special events, we cultivate meaningful connections locally, nationally and internationally.

Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor, International and External Engagement

The Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor, International and External Engagement provides strategic and operational support to the Deputy Vice Chancellor and broader portfolio. This includes delivering executive and administrative services, facilitating cross-university communication and collaboration, providing guidance on portfolio operations, and managing strategic projects. 

Advancement

Advancement connects our alumni and donor community to Adelaide University. The function is responsible for developing and coordinating fundraising campaigns, facilitating philanthropic gifts, managing donor funds and nurturing meaningful and mutually beneficial alumni connections. Advancement ensures that donations deliver lasting impact, and that alumni benefit from a lifelong connection with the University. 

Global Partnerships

Global Partnerships fosters impactful research, education, and engagement opportunities with world-leading universities, research institutes, corporations and government agencies. The function is responsible for managing high-performing partnerships, international agreements and foreign compliance, delivering Transnational Education programs, overseeing student mobility, co-ordinating high-level inbound and outbound international visits, and managing international development initiatives.

Industry and Government

Industry and Government serves as a connection point for industry and government partners The function strengthens the University’s relationships with key stakeholders to create impactful collaborations in teaching, learning, engagement workforce development, innovation and research. Industry and Government facilitates access to university expertise, connects partners for collaborative projects, champions public policy and advocacy, and aligns initiatives with the University’s vision.

Community and Regional Engagement

Community and Regional Engagement enhances Adelaide University’s outreach through widening participation, facilitating regional partnerships, and collaborating with cultural institutions. The function drives the University’s equity, access and inclusion ambitions to expand educational opportunity and encourage learners from all backgrounds. They also deliver campus and cultural events, bringing diverse communities together and celebrating their unique contributions.

Marketing and Communications

Marketing and Communications leads Adelaide University’s brand, marketing, media, digital experience, and corporate communications. It strengthens reputation, amplifies impact, and showcases achievement. Working in partnership with Colleges, Divisions and Portfolios, the team delivers a unified brand experience and high-impact outcomes across student recruitment, research, engagement, and more through bold, creative, and evidence-based strategies

Future Students

The Future Students function is dedicated to driving future student engagement, student recruitment, conversion and admissions efforts at Adelaide University. The function focuses on attracting diverse, high-calibre students from both domestic and international markets and is instrumental in building a global student community that reflects Adelaide University’s commitment to academic excellence and equity. It ensures a student-centric and seamless experience from prospective interest to enrolment. By delivering innovative strategies and exceptional service, the function plays a key role in supporting the University's growth, enhancing its reputation, contributing to financial sustainability and supporting prospective students.
